The gemstone Mexican Fire Opal is a rare type of Opal that can be found mainly in Mexico. There are two different varieties of Fire Opal. The first type of Fire Opal is a red, orange or yellow and has translucent features and a minimal amount of color play. The second type of Fire Opal is a brownish color and has similar play or color as the precious Opal. The color range of the Fire Opal gemstone can be anywhere from a brownish orange, to an orange yellowish shade.
